“Inui Architects” is a Tokyo-based architectural firm that designs a wide range of genres, including public buildings such as stations and schools, welfare facilities, housing, interiors, and public plazas. In recent years, the firm has recognized the importance of “commons” (shared assets) and the “act of commoning” in society, placing a strong emphasis on creating spaces and opportunities that nurture such commons. We also explore the various possibilities of the commons, drawing on our experience in “Little Spaces.” research.
For projects of a more public nature, we emphasize the importance of local research and hearings. We place importance on accurately grasping the social significance and enhancing projects while conducting research from various perspectives. For welfare-related projects in particular, we consider not only planning to improve care but also the impact of the project on community development.

In our housing projects, we prioritize fundamental housing issues, such as long-term asset creation, while proposing lifestyles that enable people to live fulfilling lives within their local communities.
